Straight from the person who filmed it and is filmed from the balcony. Some obstruction due to this was filmed for television so it has some camera crew filming getting in the way. Sound is very good and although it’s fairly dark at times due to the not great lighting although you can see the band most of the time. The downfall is the original master tape is badly damaged. Every song apart from one has a slight second click and some where the picture slightly speeds up. This is a real shame as it’s completely ruins the show and I would only recommend this to collectors of the band. Last encore is missing.

Dave Vanian’s drink has been spiked with acid by somebody. He doesn’t know
what is happening and hides behind the speakers most of the time.
Captain Sensible does most of the vocals although a friend of the band does
take over at times. It’s filmed above heads from the right hand side with a good
Vision and close up shots. It does have some slight picture rolls on the first song
mainly. The sound is pretty good and has good lighting. It’s total chaos and at the end Sensible invites all the English fans up onto the stage to sing Pretty Vacant.
Never heard of this show before and it’s watch-able enough and worth having.
Possibly filmed around July 1981 on their European tour.

Never seen these shows before and even though they are listed as different dates both sets are different so they could be two sets and the 2nd set ran over midnight and into the next day.
Anyway both shows are filmed in black and white from the rear of the venue on a tripod and raised above heads.Lots of nice steady filming with some fairly close in shots. Lighting is good and so is the audio. This is obviously rare footage and doubt the masters exist now and this recording does suffer from some tape damage with some lines across the screen. Second set starts with some audio faults at the start and last song cuts.
Well worth having all the same and hearing those early Devo songs played.

Filmed on a tripod on the right hand side just below the stage, steady filming. Close in zoom shots of all members with good sound and light due to afternoon show. No obstructions apart from the stage steel poles which you don’t see at all when zoom in close shots. Very nice show, maybe a master or 1st generation.

This is nice and looks like from the original master tapes. Filmed in black and white in a small club on the left hand side raised above heads from very near the front. Loads of really nice close shots of all members with a very good sound and lighting. Down fall is that there are some picture disturbances from 27:50 - 32:20 through the song "Bloodsport". This is either due to the camera lead being loose or the original tapes being damaged so there is no perfect copy. The picture goes blank at times with the audio still intact but it's only really the first couple of mins that are bad but it's not un-watchable. This is still very enjoyable to watch as it's early for a private show and a great set list.

There are 2 shows and they are recorded with couple of cameras located on
the balcony. No obstructions nor shakiness, they are full songs. Black & white recording. During the second show, there is also one camera on stage, so this one is having some close ups. The positioning of the cameras on the balcony is not very good due to lightning on stage, so occasionally picture is too bright. The sound is improving from Slits via Subway Sect to the Clash, but it could be better. To me it looks like this copy was 1st generation, although it could be master, also.
During the Clash performance, there are 3 noticeable glitches, up to 2 seconds each.
During the Adverts, there is 1 glitch between the songs.
During the Clash performance, there is some annoying post editing. Well, the students
were recording the shows, so some other students were "practicing" editing tricks on
the footage, too.

Really shocked to see something like this come into circulation as I’ve been trading since the mid 1980’s and I’ve never heard of this private shot footage.
OK it’s not great quality (but it’s very watch-able) and it’s shot in black and white, but it’s incredible footage. See how crazy the Damned really were live, and to see 1977 footage of the Police and Boys which must be the only footage around.
This is filmed from the front right hand side (apart from the boys which is from the back of the band) and is pretty much clear from obstruction with some great close in filming. The
audio is surprisingly fairly listen-able through out and lighting is pretty good as well.
Most of the songs are pretty much incomplete and when I got this it had a lot of picture
rolls which wasn’t pleasant to watch so these have been all cut out, and my friend really
agreed with me it’s much enjoyable to watch now.
Now comes with a menu with an original poster advert from the time and a menu for each
band.

This new extended version includes the full set but as there is only 14mins of the clash set was filmed the rest of the set is replaced with stills and replaced with a new audio of the full set. It has been done very well indeed and in synch with the new and better audio.
The DVD also includes the rest of the bands set (including the clash) but has those awful picture rolls which is all cut out on my new re-done version.

Audio is fairly good with the lighting also being good. There are some split second clicks on the audio from time to time but not too annoying. Nice show.

Playground Twist, Trophy, Placebo Effect, Follow The Sun, Supernatural Thing
and Clockface so makes it a little different. Includes a 8min backstage interview.

Some really rare stuff here, OK the quality isn’t great on the Sight & Sound but I’ve never ever seen anybody else with this. It is watch-able but has some wavy picture at times.

This is a new and improved version of the XTC concert at Gaston Hall, 1980. Unfortunately, the original had very dark video and on-board camera audio. This new seed has significantly brightened video and vastly improved audio. For the video, I increased the brightness as much as I could. There is some blow out in parts, but one can generally see things that were previously pitch black. Brightening increased the noise, so had to apply some video noise reduction as well. So things are slightly softer, but IMHO much better. Its the audio that is the real treat. A good friend took it into his recording studio and spent 10+ hrs improving it. The audio has been remixed for the latter part of the show. Its sounds fantastic.
